MATA #452 is seen on Calhoun Street moving toward Main Street after having gotten a green "trolley light".

There was a tour of Central Station public and working areas .

After the tour Kenny Young and I explored downtown rail sites before heading to Kentucky Street. where we caught this loaded unit coal train.

Our train is heading to the westbound NS track and appears to have a dark signal on the left most signal. Actually, it has a flashing red, a permissive signal which allows it to enter unsignalled territory at Broadway.

In this view the head end is about to disappear around the curve in Broadway. The DPU is some 8 cars out of view behind me.

Our train continues to snake its way through the crossover and switches to the westbound NS track.

The NS transfer to CNIC is seen here approaching and turning onto the CN at CN Jct.

We heard a train approaching from the west but it stopped before it reached us. Thus we went to Kansas Ave. to get this shot of the UP to CSX train. We soon found out why as a CSX transfer to the Marion intermodal terminal appeared to the east on the CSX track of Broadway.

Unfortunately, we did not have time to wait for this intermodal transfer to reach us.

This UP train was sitting in the siding at Roe, AR awaiting a southbound on a trip to Stuttgart, AR.

This track mobile was spotted behind this fence at one the "skyscrapers" along side the UP main in downtown Stuttgart.

While awaiting a southbound train, I spot this seriously worn rail on the mainline. Apparently a locomotive's wheel slip monitor was not working when a train tried to get started. There was corresponding damage at the proper spacing of a locomotive.

The only train seen in Stuttgart was this southbound led by 2 ex-Conrail NS units.

This unit was spotted buried in the UP yard north of downtown Stuttgart.

I discovered these Rail Link lease units on a siding south of the main in Stuttgart.

For the ceremony the CN positioned this very clean new GE on the by-pass track near the site of the tent.

This set of power was working the hump.

These units were seen in the engine terminal.

A couple of views of the new CN intermodal terminal southwest of the new Harrison Classification Yard. Note that the entrance has two lanes for CN and one for CSX.

These two GP38s are working the south end of the yard. Note the difference in their paint schemes.

The switchers for President's Island, the top one was working the Cargill plant. The bottom was parked in the yard.

As I prepared to leave home, I heard a southbound train on the IC. Here it is on the by-pass track around the hump.

This trimmer job is seen on the new bridge at the south end of the yard.

A CSX intermodal is seen south of the new Harrison Yard at the switch to the TVA Allen Steam Plant.
