These Grunt brand scissors lifts are designed to allow the workers to safely pass between rows of cars with containers so that they can lock-down or unlock containers safely without having to climb on the cars or containers themselves, 10/5/08.

While on a business trip to Ruston, LA, we stopped at the Welcome Center at Vicksburg, MS and caught a west bound KCS intermodal train exiting the tunnel and onto the Mississippi River bridge, Oct. 17, 2008. This is the former Illinois Central route from Jackson, MS to Shreveport, LA.

The KCS (former IC) station is located on Railroad Street in Ruston, LA, 10/19/08.

AR State #7 only crosses two tracks in passing through Russellville yet we got stopped at both crossings. We only saw the DPU of this eastbound loaded unit coal train, Oct. 20, 2008.

For Fall Break, our son Matt decided to go to New Orleans on the "City" to visit his sister and her family. I got these shots as his train left reopened Central Station in Memphis, Oct. 23, 2008.

Upon visiting Tennessee Yard, once again a loaded unit coal train was sitting on the Shelby Main along side of newly erected intermodal crane #3. A main beam for crane #4 is being lifted onto its legs, Nov. 20, 2008.
