This was my first trip to take train photos since the knee replacement surgery on my left knee on Oct. 23, 2015. This trip was to meet up with the KCS Santa Train at its Stilwell, OK stock. My son Matt drove us to Stilwell, arriving around 2pm. The purpose of this trip was to meet up with long time friends who work on the Santa Train.

Shortly after arriving at Stilwell, we heard a northbound train blowing for a crossing south of the station. Here we see the power shortly after it passed the station.

All of my photos were taken with the aid of a walker or sitting in the passenger seat of our van.

We then went into the station where we could sit down and watch in more comfort the 3 way meet. The first north bound pulled up to the north end of the main so that the loaded coal train could take the siding. Another north bound then met the loaded coal train in the siding as seen out the window of the station waiting room..

We then see the pushers on the rear of the coal train heading south, again seen through the waiting room window..

We then hear the Santa Train approaching and go out side to see the train through the fence and train-order tower.

My driver and PT, son Matt, took these next 2 photos which were outside the range of my walking with the walker.

After meeting with friends Jack Ferry and Warren and Tillie Caileff, we walked back to the car and drove to where I shot this view of the "engine" and flat car.

I then got this shot of the lead unit from across US 59.

This photo was taken with my 300mm zoom tele lens from the first crossing north of the station. This view shows the controlled crossing from the parking across US 59 to the line for touring the train.

Matt drove us back to Tahlequah where the postwoman delivered 2 packages from friends. What a great day!!!
