Returning from Tulsa and the American Chemical Society social where I was honored for 50 years of membership, we found this UP power sitting at the west end of Cookson siding east of Wagoner.

On my way to Harrison, AR for the funeral of a long time friend, I discovered the A&M RS-1 in front of the new engine house.

July 2, 2014

This view is inside Holt Memorial Chapel of the casket and memorials for long time friend William (Bill) Sprenger. There was a full house for the service, made up of family and friends from all over Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
A couple of Bill's HO Santa Fe locomotives and a caboose.
There was a Santa Fe herald and kerosene lantern and flower arrangement on top of the casket.
Bill was also an avid golfer as demonstrated by his golf shoes and tube of golf balls.

After our mutual friend Paul Moon moved to Florida, the Moon Southern Line that he had created was moved to Harrison, AR and Bill's home. They are both gone now, but the layout lives on as my web page Moon Southern Line.

Upon arrivving in Springalde, I found this pair of BNSF units, apparently the power for a unit grain train off the BNSF.

A&M #52 and #46 are seen outside of the new backshop. C420 52 was one of the two units which came over from the the Maryland and Delaware to start the A&M in 1986.

A&M #68 was also sitting in front of the new backshop.

On my way back to Tahlequah, I found this KCS local heading out of Watts, OK.

These C420s were found in Van Buren in their yard near the Main Street crossing.

This unit is the DPU of a loaded unit coal train stopped at the refueling station near Main St. Note the crane being used to re-rail a car on the A&M.

D&R SW1 15 is seen switching in North Dardanelle, AR.

South of Fairoaks, AR I spotted this UP stack train on the former SP mainline.

This freight was stopped in the siding at Fairoaks.

These NS units were at the west end of the UP intermodal facility at Ebony(Marion to UP), AR.

This SD70ACe was also at the engne area at the intermodal yard in Ebony.

This BNSF unit was also at the UP intermodal facility at Ebony.

When I got to Memphis, I headed to Kansas Ave and caught this loaded unit coal train.
The train had these 3 units on the rear for a DPU.
This SD70ACe appears to be brand new.
The rear unit was a KCS

The next train was the NS stack train which had been stopped on the bridge.

The next train was a westbound J B Hunt stack train.

That evening my son Matt, grandson Shawn, and I visited with Kenny Young and his mother in their living room. Kenny took this photo with my camera.

On our way to OK, we took Southern Ave past the NS Forrest Yard where we got this power.

When we got to Kansas Ave, the signals were set up for an eastbound on the BNSF. In a few minutes it appeared as a J B Hunt stack train. It met a westbound empty unit coal train and a westbound UP freight on the CSX track.

Because of construction on I-40 in several places, I decided to take US64 to Conway. As a result my grandson and I were able to chase the BNSF empty coal train. Catching it first at the Mound City crossing. The empty met a loaded coal train at Critco. Note the PTC antenna in the last photo.

The loaded unit coal train is seen in this view, also at Critco siding west of the Mounds City road crossing.

We got to the main street crossing in Marion before the DPU. Shawn was in his car seat in the back seat.

These locos were at the west end of the intermodal yard in Ebony, AR.
