This is a run-through train from the UP to the CSX. It is parked at Cox Street where they changed crews. The engines are sitting very near the location of the former Lenox station on the NC&StL.

Getting to the dentist was an adventure. Driving down Southern Ave., I discovered that the crossing at Highland Ave. was closed for maintenance by the NS. When I get to Colonial Ave., I discovered that the city had that crossing blocked. At White Station Road I discovered that NS had it closed for maintenance due to the derailment a couple of weeks earlier. At Estate Road the crossing was blocked by a stopped freight. It was still stitting there after my time at the dentist so I headed east to look for the power which we see below.

On my way to the meeting of the Boston Mtn Chapter of NRHS in SPringdale, I discovered this train at the station in Watts, OK.

In Springdale, I get a picture of the latest additions to the passenger car fleet, their open air car and their ex-WP "California Zephyr" dome car. The caboose has been in the passenger car fleet for several years.

The A&M sent this power south to pick up the cars which were picked up earlier by the local switchers.

Here are a couple of views showing the progress on the new shop building of the A&M.

A&M coach 104 "Biloxi Blues" was sitting along side of the passenger car shop south of the station.

The lighting was so nice that I shot this image of the passenger station.

I was finally rewarded by the horn announcing the return of the power with the cars from the days switching.

On a trip to Muskogee to search for azaleas and this coaling tower, we explored parts of Muskogee I had not been to before. With an email message from Ray Hamm, I knew it was near Talledega St. We attempted a little "railroad archeology". Here is what we found of the coaling tower. The bike path shown in the lower left photo is on the former MO&G/KO&G ROW at their former Muskogee yard.

This UP train is seen just north of the former MKT station site in Muskogee, OK.

Since my last time through Stilwell, OK, the search light signals have been replaced by the three color signals and the radio antenna have been erected for the Positive Train Control installation.

This former StLIM&S and then M&NA RPO-coach is being restoed at the museum at the Bald Knob, AR station.

Inside the station is a museum and hobby shop. Among the models were these Missouri Pacific units. In the 1950s I used the instructions in Model Railroader to paint a Lionel GP7 in Missouri Pacific "Eagle" colors like the one in the first picture.

The UP still has several Missouri Pacific signal bridges in Bald Knob, AR. These signal bridges are going to be replaced soon. First the south one, next the two just north of the station, then the third is at the north end of the passing track.

Maintenance had the main line north of Bald Knob, AR out of service, causing the unit tank train to park in the siding at Bald Knob, AR.

I caught this engine at the west end of the UP intermodal yard in Marion, AR.
