#126 on March 27, 1960 arriving. In the upper left is the train exiting
the Arkansas River bridge and taking the south leg of the wye. The upper
right shot shows the train backing down the east leg of the wye. The
lower left shot shows the train pulling around the north leg of the
wye for its stop. The lowest shot shows the crew in front of their engine.
Left to right: man in suit, unknown; Paul DuVal, conductor; Oscar Whitson,

This series of snap shots are of the last north bound Missouri Pacific passenger train to stop in Van Buren, AR, March 28, 1960. The gentleman racing to the cab in the bottom picture is Press Argus Editor and Publisher, Hugh Parks. Can anyone identify any of the members of this crew? |
Following is the consist of Missouri Pacific train 125 at Fort Smith, Arkansas on 1/17/60. The consist was considerably swollen due to handing the cast and equipment of the road show troupe of "My Fair Lady" which was moving from Kansas City to their next performances at Little Rock. (Regular consist highlighted in blue.)
