Van Buren, Arkansas is located in western Arkansas, across the river from Ft.
Smith. Downtown Van Buren in recent years has appeared in numerous movie settings
from Civil War TV miniseries The Blue and the Gray to WWII satire Biloxi Blues.

The University of Arkansas is located in Fayetteville, in the northwestern part
of the state. The 1964 Hogs were national champions in football and the 1994
Hogs were national champions in basketball. All seniors have their names stamped
into concrete on Senior Walk. Mine is in front of the Agriculture Building.
