SOO 1003 is preparing to leave the yard for its first run across Lake Monona for the 25th Anniversary Celebration, Part II in Madison on July 23, 2005.

The Mike began its move to the mainline for its numerous trips across Lake Monona.

This SOO caboose brought up the markers for the steam engine.

The following series of shots of SOO #1003 are arranged from E. Johnson Yard to Lake Monona but are not in sequence, timewise, covering parts of three separate trips.

SOO 1003 crossed the canal between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona just after crossing E. Johnson St..

The sun came out about 6:30pm after several rain squalls. They made 2 outstanding runbys for those still around.
