Returning from a doctor's visit, I ran into this loaded unit coal train running through the University of Memphis campus.

Hoping to photograph the BNSF Business Train, I went to Kansas Ave. While waiting, I got a call from a friend who had seen the Business Train in Tennessee Yard. However, it was not all wasted, I got this loaded taconite train coming off the Mississippi River bridge.

Tennessee Yard Intermodal Terminal Celebration

The grand opening of the IMF intermodal ramp took place at the north end of the new facility. A tent was erected for the festivities. From the presence of this truck, it appears that Corky's Bar-B-Que caterred the event. The locomotive for the 6 car train was parked basically behind the tent. Also out of view is the theater car.

I took individual photos of most of the cars of the train except for the baggage/generator car and one out of clear view.

At Gore, OK I spotted a headlight north of town as we crossed the tracks.

Alerted to the existence of a Frisco crossbuck in Ft. Gibson, OK, we got off US 62 and headed downtown. This is the former site of the crossing of the MP mainline by the Frisco Muskogee Branch, former Ozark & Cherokee Central. The former Frisco right-of-way here is now used by the UP for their spur to the Oklahoma Gas & Electric Muskogee Power Plant on the bank of the Arkansas River. This spur was built by the Missouri Pacific.

We also discoverred the former MP station about a block from the tracks, perpendicular to the tracks.
