These units were in a yard along side of I-90 just north of downtown by which I had ridden many times on the Thru-Way bus to Madison, WI during my days as an assoicate of a research group there.

View of downtown Chicago from the platform at the Irving Park station along I-90.

This CTA is stopped at the Irving Park station in the middle of the Kennedy Expressway. At times the expressway was a parking lot with the inbound lanes stopped.

This outbound CTA train had a car decorated as an ad for Visit.Florida.com.

The inbound Metra for which I have been waiting is now in view beyond the girders for the overpass over Irving Park.

Ogilvie Transportation Center, one time location of the Chicago & North Western station.

A Metra is seen leaving the north end of Union Station and crossing Canal Street.

Another Metra train is seen crossing Canal Street on its way into the north end of Union Station.

Here is yet another outbound Metra train leaving the north end of Union Station.

This inbound Metra is heading toward the former North Western station.

Yet another outbound Metra at CP Morgan.

Four units are seen heading to the elevated tracks to the former North Western Station.

The last Metra I caught at CP Morgan was this inbound.

I then picked up Jan at 4th Presbyterian Church, and we headed to the Art Institute where I got this image of the 1887 "Self Portrait" of Vincent van Gogh.

We had parked in the garage of the Palmer House. I caught this CTA train on the Wabash side of the loop when we returned to get our car.
