On our way to Paragould to meet the "Shiloh Express", we found the "MP Heritage" unit in the engine service area of the Marion Intermodal Facility.

In Paragould we discovered this pair of leased locomotives working.

This caboose is painted up to celebrate the original railroad to Paragould, the St. Louis Iron Mountain & Southern which arrived here in 1883. Today this community is served by the Union Pacific, successor of the Missouri Pacific and St. Louis Southwestern which shared trackage here.

The first through train that we saw in Paragould was this vehicle train with a CSX unit on the point.

My Shiloh Limited Photos

Right on time, we hear the whistle of the "Shiloh Limited" with UP 844 on the point.

UP844 left Marion earlier than announced. I had an early appointment with our realtor and left as quickly after that. In an attempt to chase UP844 from Memphis to Little Rock, I got off I40 at Brinkley and headed for the SSW trackage toward Pine Bluff. I found this train in Stuttgart. However, I never saw UP844.

Jan had a committee meeting in downtown Tulsa. I dropped her off and headed for Cherokee Yard in West Tulsa. This trimmer set was my first action.

This pair of locomotives is returning from switching the industries along the Avard Sub, including the refinery.

Next came this westbound freight which entered the yard.

Next was a very unusual unit, a GP38-2B coupled to a GP39 working as trimmers.

The next train was an empty Western Electrics unit coal train coming out of the yard.

This pair of locomotives are seen again without their cars.

A military train is seen rounding the curve off the Avard Sub.

The next train was a unit steel coil train approaching from the east and heading out the Avard Sub.

The last train was this loaded unit coal train entering the yard from the east.
