GP7s

by Mike Condren

The Ft. Smith "Dodge" is returning to their yard from a trip to the cotton compress using the Frisco to reach the KCS tracks on the east side of town.

The piggy-back flat behind the locomotive is one of the short lived experimental that KCS and SP tried.

The Ft. Smith "Dodger" is seen switching the OK Feed Mill in Ft. Smith.

This GP7 is spliced between 2 SD40s on a freight.

This is the only GP7 which was painted in the red scheme. No GP9s received this scheme.

This tunnel was on the Frisco line to Paris, TX and was located at Bonanza, AR, just north of the junction of the Frisco line to Mansfield, AR which left the line at Jensen.
