The northbound "City of New Orleans" is seen in Kenner, LA leaving New Orleans on Jan. 1, 1963.

This E8 is at Central Station in Chicago on April 21, 1963.

For the 1963 Sugar Bowl, the Razorback Band stay at a motel across from the New Orleans airport. On Jan 1, I got up early and walked a couple of blocks from the hotel to the IC tracks in Kenner, LA. A few minutes later the 50th Anniversary "Panama Limited" appeared as seen in the image below.

IC train #25, "The Southerner", is seen southbound at Kenner, LA on Jan. 1, 1963.

The "Illini" is seen stopped at the station at the IC/PRR crossing in Effingham, IL on Sept. 7, 1970.

The "City of Miami" is seen entering the station at Champaign, IL on July 7, 1970

The IC "Green Diamond" is seen stopped west of the 21st Street bridge waiting for permission to back into St. Louis Union Station on Dec. 16, 1967.
Later in the day I shot the Chicago bound "Green Diamond" on the approach to the Merchants Bridge over the Mississippi River.

The northbound "Mid American" is seen at speed at Arcola, Il on July 7, 1970.
